Guardianship

A guardian is someone who has entered a relationship deeply enough that the wellbeing of what they are connected to matters to them.

Guardianship is belonging without ownership.

The horse remains a subject of their own life.

The relationship is given time.

We listen together.

Sometimes we know.
Sometimes we don't.

I don't know yet.
I am willing to keep listening.

Care and discernment can grow.

A boundary can exist within belonging.

Nothing needs to be forced.

The Sanctuary is still becoming.

So is every relationship within it.
